Prospera Home uses soft, high tier, top-grain leather on the majority of our designs. We also use alternate leather finishing types including nubuck and waxy pull-up. Our leather experts hand pick the softest leather with minimal flaws. Split-grain leather or a high-grade leather match is used on the side and back of the furniture.
Our Semi-Aniline leather is dyed completely through and is minimally corrected to refine color and texture consistency.
Semi-Aniline leather has a protective layer applied which gives it stain and water-resistant properties while also retaining the natural texture of full aniline leather.
Our pull-up leather is full aniline dyed through and is treated with a wax finish. This leather does not need to be overprocessed because only high-quality hides with minimal flaws are used. Waxy pull-up leather creates a rich, distressed, patina look that will continue to evolve and change the character in the leather.
Our nubuck leather is top-grain leather that is lightly sanded or buffed on the grain side, creating a soft, smooth, and fabric-like touch with consistent coloring.
To provide the performance needed for everyday seating, nubuck+ and semi-aniline leathers have a protective layer applied which gives them stain- and water-resistant properties while also retaining the natural texture of full aniline leather.
