Leather
Prospera Home uses soft, high-tier, top-grain leather on the majority of our designs. We also use alternate leather finishing types including nubuck and waxy pull-up. Our leather experts hand pick the softest leather with minimal flaws. Split-grain leather or a high-grade leather match is used on the side and back of the furniture.
Semi-Aniline
Our semi-aniline leather is dyed completely through and is minimally corrected to refine color and texture consistency.
Semi-aniline leather has a protective layer applied, which gives it stain- and water-resistant properties while also retaining the natural texture of full aniline leather.
Pull-up Leather
Our pull-up leather is full aniline dyed through and is treated with a wax finish. This leather does not need to be over-processed because only high-quality hides with minimal flaws are used. Waxy pull-up leather creates a rich, distressed, patina look that will continue to evolve and change the character in the leather.
Nubuck Leather
Our nubuck leather is top-grain leather that is lightly sanded or buffed on the grain side, creating a soft, smooth, and fabric-like touch with consistent coloring.
To provide the performance needed for everyday seating, nubuck+ and semi-aniline leathers have a protective layer applied, which gives them stain- and water-resistant properties while also retaining the natural texture of full aniline leather.

What kind of leather do you use?
We use top-grain leather on all our products.
Do you use bonded leather on any of your products?
No, we do not use bonded leather on any of our products. We use top-grain leather for all seating areas and armrests. Some of our products use 100% top-grain leather throughout, while other products use split-grain leather (100% genuine leather) or polyurethane (PU) for the sides and back.
Are your products pet friendly?
Pets can damage leather. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by pets. While our products use highly durable top-grain leather, they are still susceptible to pet damage.
